'Sorry' coupons with Intercom
This guide will show you how to install and use the Voucherify Rewards app for Intercom that allows you to use incentivized live chat to retain customers and soothe and pain point troubles.
What are we going to do? 🤔
- Create three campaigns that are going to be used as 'sorry' vouchers.
- Respond to a complaint with a 'sorry' voucher using the Voucherify Rewards app for Intercom.
What do you need? 💡
- An Intercom account.
Let's create three quick campaigns with 5%, 10%, and 15% off discounts
1. Go to the Campaigns tab and create a new campaign by clicking the plus ➕
2. Next, establish the details of your campaign (name, code pattern, number of vouchers) ➡️
💡We highly recommend checking the 'Auto-Update' box so that if you ever run out of the original pool fo codes, Voucherify shall generate new codes automatically.
In the next steps, you can set the value of your voucher, certain limits on your vouchers, such as time limits and validation rules ➡️
In our example, we've decided to make our vouchers redeemable only once per customer to protect our budget 👮
5. In the next step, you can add additional information on vouchers, called metadata 💽
6. Good job! Save your campaign and Voucherify will generate your codes 🤖
Now, recreate this campaign by changing the type of discount to respectively 10 and 15%.

Voucherify App for Intercom - Voucherify Rewards 🎁
1. To install the app, go to your Intercom account and to the Intercom App Store.
2. Install the app and authorise Voucherify to access your Intercom data ✅
3. In the next step, you will be taken to Voucherify to select which projects should be plugged-in.
4. Next, go back to the Integrations. Now you should establish which coupons should be given to customers depending on the issue they're facing. For instance, if a customer is faced with a critical issue, we want to reward him with 15% voucher 👏
Here, you can also customize the message that you can automatically send to customers along with the discount code.
When it's all set, confirm with Save Configuration ➡️
5. Let's come back to Intercom and try to ease the anger of our customer with Voucherify discount coupons.
Oh! It looks like there is one customer who is facing a serious delivery problem 🥺
Let's send him a message with our 'sorry' coupon 👍
Now, when a customer receives his code, he/she should be taken to this view.
